1、 Pre maintenance after just laying (the first 7 days are the most important)
a. Within 24 hours of completion of paving, try to minimize walking and avoid placing heavy objects, allowing the lock buckle to fully engage and stabilize.
b. Underfloor heating environment: After completion, let it sit for 7 days before starting to heat up; The daily temperature rise should not exceed 5 ℃, and the highest surface temperature should be ≤ 28 ℃. It is strictly prohibited to suddenly turn it to high temperature, otherwise it is very easy to shrink and crack.
c. Do not wet drag or sprinkle a large amount of water within 7 days; Do not completely seal the skirting board and expansion joint positions with glass glue, and leave room for expansion and contraction.
d. Furniture entry: Furniture feet must be covered with felt pads. Do not drag furniture forcefully, as direct dragging may scratch the paint surface/wear-resistant layer.
2、 Daily cleaning (key point of herringbone splicing: prevent dust accumulation in the joints)
a. Priority: Electrostatic precipitator paper/soft bristled vacuum cleaner, regularly sucking away sand and dust from the crevices of the floor. Sand is the biggest killer of the floor.
b. Floor mopping: Use only a slightly damp mop (twist until there is no dripping water at all); It is strictly prohibited to splash water or steam mop! Steam will seep into the seams, causing bulging, cracking, and peeling of the paint surface.
c. Cleaning agent: water is sufficient; If a cleaning agent is needed, use a neutral cleaning agent specifically designed for wooden floors; Do not use 84, bleach, or strong alkaline cleaners as they can corrode the surface.
d. Splashing treatment: Immediately wipe off any spilled tea or beverages, as the longer the liquid stays, the easier it is for it to seep into the gaps.
3、 Temperature and humidity control (to prevent floor shrinkage and arching)
-Optimal indoor humidity: 40% to 65%, temperature: 18 to 26 ℃
-Dry season (winter underfloor heating): If the humidity is below 40%, it is easy for the board seams to become larger. You can turn on a humidifier;
-During the rainy season/humid areas, if the humidity exceeds 70%, pay attention to ventilation and remove the dehumidifier if necessary to prevent bulging.
4、 Daily protection
a. Place dust removal mats at the entrance to reduce the introduction of gravel; Try not to step on high heels or shoes with sharp hard objects directly.
b. Avoid long-term direct sunlight: Strong light can cause local fading and color difference, curtains can be used to cover it appropriately.
c. Green plant flowerpot: The bottom must be padded with a waterproof tray to prevent water from seeping into the floor.
